History has been written in the VCT China region. After a season defined by steady improvement and tactical discipline, TYLOO has finally broken through, securing their first-ever regional trophy at the VCT China 2026 Stage 2 grand finals. By dismantling JD Gaming with a 3-1 series score, the squad has not only cemented their status as a top-tier contender but also locked their direct qualification for VALORANT Champions 2026.
The grand final was a masterclass in resilience. After dropping the opening map on Lotus 13-6, TYLOO refused to crumble. They flipped the script on Split with a convincing 13-7 victory, followed by a 13-10 win on Breeze and a dominant 13-2 performance on Summit to close out the series. This reverse-sweep mentality has been the hallmark of their playoff run, especially after their earlier upper-bracket loss to the same JDG roster.
A Roster Built for Success
The victory marks a significant turning point for the organization. Much of this success is attributed to the mid-season acquisition of IGL Pong "SiuFatBB" Ka Hei, whose leadership provided the structure the team previously lacked. Alongside veteran Sun "slowly" Kelun, the roster has found a lethal balance. The inclusion of newcomer Peng "xihe" Wenbo, who has made an immediate impact since his debut, further highlights the team's ability to integrate fresh talent into a high-pressure environment.
For JD Gaming, the result is a bitter pill, but they remain a force to be reckoned with. Despite the loss, their performance throughout the stage earned them a well-deserved spot at the upcoming world championship in Shanghai.
Looking Toward Shanghai
With the regional season concluded, all eyes now turn to the global stage. TYLOO and JD Gaming will represent China alongside EDward Gaming and XLG Esports at VALORANT Champions Shanghai. As the home region prepares to host the world's best, the pressure will be immense. TYLOO enters the tournament with the momentum of a champion, but the international stage is a different beast entirely.
