The stage is set in São Paulo as the Game Changers 2026 Championship reaches its boiling point. Gentle Mates GC have officially punched their ticket to the Grand Final, cementing their status as the team to beat in this year’s international showdown.
In a high-stakes Upper Bracket Final, the EMEA representatives took down the perennial powerhouse Shopify Rebellion Gold in a 2-1 series. The victory was a statement performance, proving that the European squad has the mental fortitude to navigate the pressure of a world championship stage. While Shopify Rebellion Gold has been a fixture in these deep tournament runs, M8 GC’s ability to close out the series demonstrated a new level of tactical maturity.
Meanwhile, the Lower Bracket has become a gauntlet. KRÜ BLAZE kept their tournament life alive by sweeping MIBR GC 2-0. For MIBR, the loss marks the end of a gritty run on home soil, while KRÜ BLAZE now advances to face Shopify Rebellion Gold in the Lower Bracket Final. The winner of that clash will meet Gentle Mates GC in the Grand Final to determine who takes home the lion's share of the $500,000 prize pool.
This tournament has been defined by the shifting of power dynamics. The early exit of defending champions Team Liquid Brazil—who fell to KRÜ BLAZE in an elimination match—opened the door for new contenders to claim the throne. As we head into the final days of the event, the level of play has reached new heights, with teams pushing the current meta to its absolute limit.
