The era of one of the most stable and successful lineups in professional Dota 2 history has come to a sudden end. Saudi Arabian organization Team Falcons announced on September 6, 2026, that it is officially stepping away from the competitive Dota 2 scene, resulting in the immediate release of its star-studded five-man roster.
This departure marks the conclusion of a nearly three-year journey that redefined roster stability. Since forming in November 2023, the team—comprising Oliver “skiter” Lepko, Stanislav “Malr1ne” Potorak, Ammar “ATF” Al-Assaf, Andreas “Cr1t-” Nielsen, and Jingjun “Sneyking” Wu—never made a single player change. Their longevity is unparalleled, having recorded 799 games together, the most for any single squad in the history of the game.
The team’s trophy cabinet reflects their dominance, headlined by their triumph at The International 2025. Beyond their Aegis victory, they secured titles at ESL One Birmingham 2024 and numerous DreamLeague seasons, maintaining an impressive 65.46% win rate across their tenure.
The organization cited a strategic shift toward other esports titles that offer greater "long-term operational sustainability" and "strategic alignment." While the decision to leave follows a 7th-8th place finish at The International 2026, the organization framed this as a broader portfolio review rather than a reactionary move to a single tournament result.
For the players, the future remains fluid. While most are expected to explore new opportunities as free agents, veteran Andreas “Cr1t-” Nielsen has hinted at potential retirement. The rest of the squad leaves behind a legacy of high-impact play that set the gold standard for team cohesion in an often volatile Dota 2 competitive ecosystem.
As the dust settles, the scene prepares for a massive influx of top-tier talent into the transfer market. Whether this group will reunite elsewhere or split to forge new paths remains the most significant question of the current off-season.
