Ninjas in Pyjamas have officially confirmed the return of Adam "adamb" Ångström to the organization. The Swedish rifler, who previously developed his skills within the NIP academy system, joins the active lineup effective immediately. This move sees Roman "n0te" Hamze moved to the bench as the team looks to recalibrate its form.
A Familiar Face Returns
For those following the Swedish scene, this acquisition is a homecoming. adamb spent significant time with the Young Ninjas during 2022 and 2023, making him well-acquainted with the organization's internal structure and philosophy. Since his departure, he has gained valuable tier-one experience with OG, where he was a consistent performer, and earlier with Metizport.
The timing of this roster move is far from coincidental. With the Logitech G Play Connect tournament looming on the horizon, NIP is clearly prioritizing immediate impact over long-term stability. By bringing in a player who already understands the "Ninja" way of working, the team hopes to bypass the typical integration hurdles that plague new signings.
What This Means for the Roster
The decision to bench n0te is a clear signal that the management is unsatisfied with the team's recent output. While n0te had his moments, the addition of adamb brings a different profile to the server—one that the coaching staff likely believes is better suited to the current meta.
NIP’s upcoming schedule is demanding, and the pressure to perform at Logitech G Play Connect will be intense. Fans looking to see if this change pays off can keep an eye on the matches page for real-time updates. Whether this move provides the spark needed to climb back into the elite tier or serves as a temporary fix, the Swedish organization is clearly not content with standing still.
