The VCT Game Changers Championship 2026 bracket has been shaken to its core. In a display of resilience that will be remembered for years, KRÜ Blaze fought their way through the lower bracket, culminating in a decisive 3-1 victory over Shopify Rebellion Gold to punch their ticket to the Grand Final.
Four days after a demoralizing loss to the same North American powerhouse, the LATAM squad returned with a clear mission. While the series opened with a familiar struggle—a 13-6 loss on Sunset—the momentum shifted dramatically thereafter. KRÜ Blaze dismantled their opposition on Summit with a dominant 13-6 response before grinding out a 13-9 win on Split. The series reached its climax on Ascent, where the two teams battled into overtime, with KRÜ Blaze eventually closing the map 17-15 to seal the series.
This victory is a defining moment for the organization. After years of falling just short of the podium, KRÜ Blaze proved they belong at the pinnacle of the VCT Game Changers Championship. Their lower bracket gauntlet, which included clean sweeps of Team Liquid Brazil and MIBR GC, showcased a team that has finally mastered the art of the comeback.
For Shopify Rebellion Gold, the result marks a painful exit after a season defined by high expectations. Having won back-to-back titles in 2023 and 2024, the team now faces a period of reflection as the circuit prepares for significant structural changes in 2027.
As the dust settles in São Paulo, all eyes are on the final showdown. KRÜ Blaze’s ability to adapt under pressure has been their greatest asset this week, and they will need every bit of that composure to take the final step.
