The stage is set in Porto for a high-stakes showdown at the BLAST Open Fall 2026. Following a weekend of intense playoff action at the Super Bock Arena, Team Spirit and MOUZ have emerged as the final two contenders, ready to battle for the $250,000 top prize and the prestigious title.
The End of the Road for Vitality and Falcons
The semifinals delivered a harsh reality check for two of the tournament’s heavyweights. MOUZ continued their impressive form by dismantling Team Vitality in a clean 2-0 sweep. Despite a heroic effort from Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut, who posted a match-high 41 kills, Vitality simply couldn't find the answers against a disciplined MOUZ side. The victory for MOUZ effectively halted Vitality’s momentum, as the French-backed organization struggled to overcome the tactical pressure applied by the European squad on Dust II and Mirage.
On the other side of the bracket, Team Spirit confirmed their status as the team to beat. Fresh off their recent success at the Esports World Cup, Spirit made short work of Team Falcons. While Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov put up a valiant fight for Falcons, the collective firepower of Spirit—led by Dmitry "sh1ro" Sokolov and Danil "donk" Kryshkovets—proved too much to handle. A 2-0 sweep on Nuke and Ancient sent Spirit comfortably into the grand final, leaving Falcons to reflect on a tournament where they couldn't quite bridge the gap against the elite.
What’s Next in Porto?
For Vitality and Falcons, the 3rd-4th place finish is a bittersweet result. Both teams showed flashes of brilliance throughout the event but ultimately fell short when it mattered most. For Spirit and MOUZ, the focus now shifts entirely to the best-of-five grand final.
As the circuit pushes toward the upcoming PGL Singapore Major, the points and prize money earned here are crucial for seeding and team morale. With Spirit looking to cement their dominance and MOUZ aiming to prove they can take down the best in a grueling series, the final match promises to be a tactical masterclass.
